This special launching of 🌺 WHEN THE HIBISCUS FALLS 🌺 brings me to Chicago where I spent my early twenties in the film business, learning to find a way to tell my stories. I am beyond grateful to see my sweet home, coming together to bring local artists Ginger Leopoldo, Cristian Aldana, Czaerra Galiciano Ucol and Isabel Garcia Gonzales onto the stage, to be in conversation with Mary Grace Bertulfo, and to gather co-sponsoring organizations Riksha Magazine, Banyan, and CIRCA-Pintig to host the event. This is Kapwa. When you are the daughter of immigrants, you find that you have many homes and Chicago is one of mine. Join us Saturday afternoon, August 5th from 1-4.
