My work has been influenced by the paintings of my father, Miguel T. Galang M.D. More than the images themselves, was his practice of visualizing his experiences and memories on canvas. That “to never forget” meant to pass down his legacy through art, music, and story. Because one day, he would forget little bit by little bit. And when he could no longer speak his memories, when his fingers grew too stiff to draw or play his beloved Filipino folk songs, he had his art to remember for him. The paintings on this website are a few of those heart memories. Thanks, Daddio.
