The NYC launch of 🌺WHEN THE HIBISCUS FALLS 🌺 happens two days after my communities commemorate Philippine Independence Day. I am thrilled and honored to kick this tour off in conversation with Hannah Bae, a UMiami alumni and journalist/nonfiction writer, living and working in NYC. She is a force and a delight and our conversation at The Center for Fiction, co-sponsored by the Asian American Writers Workshop on the Art of the Short Story will be a throw back to our days together, contemplating the shape of a good story.
